A Prayer for All My Children

Heavenly Father,

I thank You for Your grace in giving me these four beautiful boys.  For the honor of raising these young men to grow in the knowledge of Christ and to the praise of Your glory.  May You arm me with wisdom to direct their maturity.  A tender heart, that I may display an inkling of the depth of Your mercies.  Teach me to show them to look past my inadequacies as a father that they may see the boundless horizon of their Heavenly Father.  May I happily glory in my weakness that I may confidently rest in Your strength.  Let me not fail to prize these brief moments of childhood that I may revel in the simple joys of fatherhood.  In all things, may I reflect Your grace, lovingkindess, understanding and judgment to my sons.  May they run with the endurance the race that is set before them.  May they enjoy each other fully in the great bonds of brotherhood, both in Spirit and in truth.
