Grandma's Hands
Grandma’s hands used to hand me a piece of candy.
Grandma’s hands picked me up each time I fell.

Great-Grandma's Hands

This dear woman, whose health and mobility has diminished over the years, always displays great strength and joy when her great-grandchildren are in her arms.  She is the picture to my sons of their Swedish heritage...and Minnesotan eccentricity!  My Bride and I make the thousand mile trek to her home simply for the joy of putting our sons near her heart.  There is a joy, a laughter and a love on display beyond the price of the journey.  Her years melt away under the warmth of her moments in time with her great-grandsons.  This was her first meeting with Benjamin...

Grandma's Hands

Grandmas, the excuse for a kid to get everything they want and stay up past bed time.  But above all, a Grandmother provides a depth and breadth of love unparalleled in this world.  It is of a different type, order and kind that cannot be reproduced or replicated.  My dear Benjamin, like his brothers, is blessed of the Lord with such a Grandmother.

Enjoy Grandma's hands, my son.  Enjoy the love, the protection, the confidence, the heritage.
