On Time...

Today, this 14th day of September 2017, I had the distinct honor of documenting the first change of command for Bravo Battery THAAD, 62nd Air Defense Artillery.  The newest addition to the US Army missile defense arsenal saw history made and etched in the stone of its records as Chief Warrant Officer 3 Shaki Sutton, the first Commander of the newest THAAD Battery, relinquished his duties to Captain Robert Saueracker.  We stand poised on the precipice of joining the ranks of the THAAD elite brotherhood as our collective training that will prepare us to become a full fledged and certified unit is soon to come underway.  The reality of our readiness has been made possible by the tireless, relentless and faithful efforts of our outgoing Commander and my mentor.  Never willing to settle for the status quo and constantly pushing us to not only exceed but fashion higher standards for others to emulate, I will miss him dearly.  Because of his leadership we are on time and ready, come what may, to succeed in any and all endeavors.

...On Target!

Our incoming Commander, Captain Robert Saueracker, immediately draws you in with his evident care and concern for the welfare of his Soldiers and the proficiency of his unit.  Under his leadership I am absent of all doubt that we will not falter nor fail in our goal to attain that elite status incumbent upon our sister units in the THAAD community.  The baton has been passed, we continue the race.  Carry us forward, Sir.  We stand with you, behind you and when necessary, in front of you.  Under your care and leadership we will remain on target.

Who you are speaks so loudly, I cannot hear what you are saying.
